We kindly ask all clients to review these Terms of Service before confirming a booking. By booking a service with Simple Shine, you agree to be bound by these terms. No further documentation is required unless explicitly requested by Simple Shine.
These Terms of Service constitute an agreement between Simple Shine (ABN 81 660 813 589) and the customer (“Client”, “Customer”, or “you”) in relation to any goods and/or services provided by Simple Shine.
The Customer is considered to have accepted and be bound by these terms if they instruct Simple Shine to provide services, accept such services, or accept these terms in any other manner recognised by law. These terms may only be amended by written agreement.
By agreeing to a service, the Client acknowledges that perfect results are not guaranteed. Glass is a porous material and may be permanently stained due to lack of regular cleaning, hard water staining, oxidation, or environmental exposure. Results may vary and refunds are not offered based on varied results.
The Client must inform Simple Shine prior to service of any coated, designer, tinted, or specialty glass requiring manufacturer-specific cleaning methods. Simple Shine is not liable for damage caused by undisclosed special glass requirements.
Scratches caused by previous cleaning attempts or during installation may become visible after professional cleaning. Simple Shine is not liable for pre-existing scratches.
Removal of glass stains, paint, mortar, silicone, post-construction debris, or similar materials is not included in a standard window clean unless disclosed prior to quoting and approved with additional charges.
Quotes are based on visible conditions at the time of quoting. If site conditions worsen or undisclosed factors arise (including access restrictions, renovations, gutter guards, heavy build-up, or obstructions), Simple Shine reserves the right to amend pricing accordingly.
Standard window cleaning includes fly screen removal (if applicable), cleaning of glass, wiping of frames (excluding internal tracks and reveals), and re-installation of screens. Track vacuuming and deep detailing are not included.
Windows with restricted or unsafe access will not be cleaned unless reasonable access is provided.
Simple Shine may use a pure water reach-and-wash system, where windows are left to dry naturally.
Pool fence cleaning results may vary due to environmental factors, including pollen build-up. Pollen may appear as white dots or spotting on glass surfaces.
Simple Shine will perform one deep clean using appropriate methods, including a white scourer brush where required. Due to environmental exposure, complete removal cannot be guaranteed and pollen may re-appear shortly after cleaning.
Pollen-related spotting is not grounds for refunds or repeated re-cleans.
Gutter cleaning is performed for functionality, not presentation. Cosmetic wiping or pressure washing of gutters or downpipes is not included unless specified.
Blocked downpipes that cannot be cleared with standard tools are excluded and may require a roof plumber.
Removal and re-installation of gutter guards is not included unless quoted separately. Excessive debris may incur additional charges.
Simple Shine may take before and after photos or videos for quality assurance, record-keeping, dispute resolution, and marketing purposes.
Simple Shine offers a 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. If the Client is not satisfied, they must notify Simple Shine within 3 business days of service completion and provide supporting photos.
Simple Shine will rectify legitimate and obvious issues relating to the agreed scope of work. Refunds are not offered where issues can be rectified or where limitations disclosed in these terms apply.
Simple Shine offers a 7-Day Rain Guarantee on external window cleaning services.
If rain or stormy weather visibly dirties cleaned glass within 7 days of service completion, the Client must notify Simple Shine within the 7-day period and provide photos.
The guarantee is limited to a maximum of 20 panes per booking and applies to one re-clean only.
The guarantee does not apply to dirt caused by sprinklers, bore water, runoff, pollen, construction dust, airborne debris, or non-rain environmental factors.
Simple Shine Service Plans are fixed 12-month agreements.
Bi-Annual Service Plan includes 2 services per year at a 10% discounted rate.
Quarterly Service Plan includes 4 services per year at a 15% discounted rate.
All services are invoiced upon completion, consistent with standard services. No front-loaded or additional discounts apply to the first service.
Service Plan pricing is discounted in exchange for completion of the full 12-month term.
If the Client cancels a Service Plan before completion of the 12-month term, Simple Shine reserves the right to invoice the difference between the discounted Service Plan pricing and the standard pricing for services already completed.
This adjustment reflects the preferential pricing provided and is not a cancellation fee or penalty. No refunds apply for completed services.
Service Plans automatically renew for a further 12-month term unless cancelled prior to renewal.
If a Service Plan auto-renews and the Client was genuinely unaware of the renewal, Simple Shine will not invoice a pricing adjustment for the renewed period and will act in good faith to resolve the matter.
Standard cancellation notice periods apply to Service Plan bookings.
Complaints regarding service quality must be lodged within 3 business days of service completion with supporting photos.
Simple Shine will arrange rectification where appropriate.
Completion dates and arrival times are estimates and may be affected by weather, traffic, or operational delays.
Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice will incur a $50 fee or 10% of the service value (whichever is greater). Fees must be paid within 24 hours. Future bookings will not be accepted until fees are settled.
Invoices are due within 24 hours unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur additional recovery costs payable by the Client.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
To the extent permitted by law, Simple Shine’s liability is limited to the value of the services provided. Simple Shine is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
The Client releases and indemnifies Simple Shine from claims arising from property condition, access issues, or pre-existing defects.
Customers are eligible to receive a $50 service credit when they refer a new customer to Simple Shine, provided the referred customer books and completes a paid service with us.
How the credit works:
• The $50 credit is applied to the referring customer’s account
• The credit can be used toward any future Simple Shine service
• Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
Usage and expiry:
• Referral credits must be used within 12 months of being issued
• Any unused credit will expire automatically after this period
• Credits may be used across multiple services if required
Unlimited Referrals
• There is no limit to the number of referral credits a customer can earn
• Credits may be stacked and applied to a single job, up to the total value of the service
• Referral credits cannot result in a negative invoice balance
General Conditions
• Referral credits are applied after the referred job is completed and paid for
• Simple Shine reserves the right to verify referrals
• We reserve the right to amend or withdraw the referral program at any time, with reasonable notice
