‍We kindly ask all clients to review our terms and conditions before confirming a service. By booking a service with Simple Shine, you automatically agree to our terms of service. By agreeing to these terms, no further documentation needs to be signed unless explicitly required by Simple Shine. Your cooperation helps facilitate a smooth and transparent process for both parties involved.

Simple Shine - Terms of Service Contract

These terms and conditions constitute an agreement between Simple Shine (ABN 81 660 813 589) and the customer (Customer or you) in relation to any goods and/or services to be provided to the Customer by Simple Shine.

The Customer is considered to have accepted and be bound by these terms if it instructs Simple Shine to provide any goods and/or services, accepts such goods or services, or accepts these terms in any other manner recognised by law. These terms may only be amended by written agreement between the parties. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that these terms and conditions shall be read together with any quote regarding goods and/or services that may have been provided by Simple Shine to the Customer. The Customer acknowledges that Simple Shine may, at its entire discretion, subcontract, assign, or licence any part of its rights and obligations in terms of this agreement. The Customer may not assign or transfer any of its rights or obligations in terms of this agreement without the prior written consent of Simple Shine.


1a. By agreeing to a service, the client acknowledges that perfect results are not guaranteed. Glass is a porous material that can be irreversibly stained if not cleaned regularly. Results may vary due to lack of past cleaning, hard water staining, and oxidation. We have no control over this and therefore do not offer refunds based on varied results.

1b. Simple Shine and its subcontractors must be informed by the Customer of any coated, designer glass, or tint which requires special cleaning methods as requested by the manufacturer other than the use of pure water, mild detergents, squeegees, abrasive pads, and scrapers. Simple Shine and its subcontractors are not liable for any damage caused by not being informed of special cleaning methods other than the above mentioned.

1c. Glass that has been scratched by prior cleaning attempts or mishandling during installation can sometimes become apparent once a dirty window has been professionally cleaned. Simple Shine is not liable for any scratches. Customer is aware and accepts that all equipment and techniques used by Simple Shine and its subcontractors will not scratch glass.

1d. The client must understand that removal of glass stains and post-construction debris (such as paint, mortar, silicone etc) is not included in a general window clean. To have such removed, the client must mention it prior to quoting of the job so that additional time and cost can be factored in.

1e. If the condition of the site worsens between the time of the quote and when the quote is accepted, or there are factors which are not apparent from photographs or online methods, for example extensive buildup of dirt/debris, metal louvres, accessibility issues, sunshades, renovations/extensions, gutter guards or other items, then additional charges will apply and we reserve the right to amend our quote accordingly.

1f. Window cleaning quotes or estimates are for a standard maintenance clean, which includes the removal of fly screens (if applicable), cleaning of the window behind, wiping of the window frames (excluding inner tracks and reveals) and re-installation of fly screens. For an in-depth clean of the window or door tracks crevices, we recommend hiring a general cleaner for this task, as it would need the use of a vacuum cleaner. Vacuuming out the tracks is not part of our service and comes under the umbrella of general cleaning, not glass cleaning. Window tracks, reveals, paint scraping, graffiti removal, stain removal, sticky residue, post-build/construction debris, concrete splatter removal, calcium build-up, hard water staining, and heavy environmental build-up are not included in a standard maintenance clean and additional charges will apply.

1g. A window that has restricted access or is unreasonably blocked due to large furniture, filing cabinets, boxes, equipment etc. will not be cleaned unless we are provided reasonable access to the window.

1h. You acknowledge that Simple Shine at times uses pure water reach and wash system, in which windows are washed clean and left to dry naturally, which does not require the window to be manually dried or squeegeed.


2a. Standard gutter cleaning quotes include inspecting and/or cleaning gutters and downpipes, for the purposes of functionality and not for presentation purposes. If a clean for presentation purposes is required, which involves wiping or pressure washing gutters or downpipes to a totally dirt-free standard, then additional charges will apply.

2b. If a downpipe is blocked and we cannot reach the blockage with our tools, clearance of the downpipe is not included in the scope of our gutter cleaning works and no reduction in our quoted price will apply. You acknowledge that the clearing of blocked downpipes may require the services of a roof plumber.

2c. Standard gutter cleaning quotes do not include uninstalling and re-installing gutter guards for cleaning purposes, which will be an additional charge. If a large or excessive amount of gutter waste/debris is present then additional charges may apply in addition to the quoted or estimated amount.


3a. Some stains cannot be removed by power washing. Tree sap, rust, artillery fungus, splatters from stains and paints are examples of materials that cannot be removed by conventional means. We do the absolute best we can, but the client must acknowledge that all porous surfaces can be stained irreversibly. Porous surfaces include but are not limited to; Concrete, Pavers, Tiles, Weatherboards, Mortar, Bricks, Render, Windows, and the like. We cannot guarantee complete stain removal on any porous surfaces.

3b. Simple Shine expects your property to be in good repair and weathertight. This includes, but is not limited to all electrical points including receptacles, light fittings, and outdoor power points. Doors and windows shall also be weathertight. Simple Shine is not responsible for damages as a result of water infiltration from poor or improper installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical-related items or doors or windows.

3c. The appearance of concrete depends on a number of factors most linked to when the concrete was initially poured and cured. When concrete with dirt, mould, mildew, algae, and other pollutants and stains is cleaned, the concrete will then reveal any and all imperfections that the pollutants and stains have covered up. The customer understands that not all concrete will look the same even on the same driveway, patio, sidewalk, or concrete slab.

3e. By signing this agreement, you agree to provide Simple Shine the right to use an onsite water supply as needed to complete the stated project without compensation. If an exterior water supply is required, it will be at an additional charge. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the water supply is on and in working order before we arrive. A call out fee will be applied if water is not available.

3f. While Simple Shine is on location and performing work on your property, you are responsible for keeping all children and pets, as well as other individuals away from the work area. Children and pets must be kept off the work surface for at least 24 hours after our work is completed. This is for your safety as well as our own.

3g. Removal and replacement of cars, furniture, planters, and any other items are the responsibility of the homeowner. Should we need to remove items, we will not be responsible for any damage, breakage, or for storage issues. An additional charge may be applied for the time and labour devoted to the removal of these items.

3h. Power Washing uses high pressure and caustic chemicals to clean difficult stains off of exterior surfaces. Utilising this pressure allows the best clean possible; however operating at such high pressure also has the potential to cause damage. Simple Shine’s technicians are well trained in utilising their equipment and take the utmost precautions in making sure the company does not cause harm to your investment. Despite this, damage can still occur due to poor property maintenance, neglect to the surfaces, and/or low-grade building materials. Homeowners should consult with their home builder to ensure that their home’s materials are able to be pressure washed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to ensure that their property has been maintained in accordance with its manufacturer’s recommendations and any defects or areas of concern are repaired prior to washing to ensure a watertight surface. The homeowner assumes all of these risks and takes responsibility for any damage that occurs due to the above explanations. Any areas of concern must be addressed by the homeowner prior to work being carried out.

3i. Simple Shine is not responsible for damages due to improperly installed siding, loose shingles, broken or opened windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters, and leaders and improper caulking. In every aluminium siding case and in some cases with vinyl siding, the sun and weather will bleach the colour or cause fading. Power washing, which entails the removal of chalky, gritty, or failing surface materials may cause the faded aspects of the vinyl or aluminium to stand out. Simple Shine will not be responsible for such conditions. Simple Shine will not be responsible for loose mortar that may dislodge during the cleaning process.

3j. Windows may become water spotted as a result of our pressure washing services. Window cleaning is NOT included in a standard pressure washing service unless specified.

3k. The Client understands that any blemish, flaw, or any existing oxidation can become more prominent after the Service has been carried out.

3l. The Client also agrees to release the Company of any or all liability for injuries sustained due to equipment placement to include injuries from tripping/falling, striking equipment, falling debris or equipment.

3m. Simple Shine suggests the Client utilises their property’s breaker box to shut off power to any and all exterior outlets, light fixtures, or any other electrically powered features. This is especially important to outlets that are not covered with exterior covers.

3n. Simple Shine is not responsible for the rare “fogging” effect that happens to multi-pane windows with bad seals.3o. The Client must notify Simple Shine if there are any surfaces on or near the home that cannot have any form of detergent on them. If the company is not notified of this, Simple Shine is not responsible for any ill effects to any surfaces regarding this matter.


4a. A complaint with regards to the quality of work must be registered with Simple Shine within 3 business days of the service. Photos must be sent through.

4b. Simple Shine will rectify the problem at an arranged time.

4c. A complaint must be legitimate and obvious.

4d. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the completion date for any services may be extended, due to external factors over which Simple Shine may have no control, such as inclement weather, delays due to other contractors or builders, forced major events (including pandemics or epidemics) and the like.

4e. Our suggested time of arrival on-site is an estimate based on our operational requirements and is subject to factors such as previous job delays and traffic issues. We aim to arrive on-site within two hours of the estimated time provided to you by our Operations Manager, and will endeavour to let you know if we are running ahead or behind schedule.


5a. 7 Day Rain Guarantee. If, within 7 days of the completed clean, you notice that rain or stormy weather has visibly dirtied the glass, please contact us with photos of the affected glass and we will come out and fix that for you.

5b. In most cases, unless it is deemed unsafe to perform work, wet weather will not require work to be rescheduled, as rain has no effect on the quality of the finished work. Rain will simply rinse and dry spot-free on freshly cleaned glass. High-level winds can blow dirt onto the glass, but as long as it is not very windy, the glass will stay clean despite even heavy rain.


6a. The Customer hereby releases and agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Simple Shine harmless from and against all claims, demands, suits and causes of action (“liability”) for property damage, personal injury or death, and all loss, cost, damage and expense (including reasonable Lawyers’ fees) relating to the Services.

6b. In the event of any breach of these terms and conditions by Simple Shine, the remedies of the Customer shall be limited to damages, which shall not exceed the price of the goods and/or services under any circumstances. Simple Shine shall furthermore not be liable for any indirect loss and/or expense (including loss of profits) suffered by the Customer, as a result of a breach of these terms and conditions by Simple Shine.

6c. The Customer will ensure that if the service is to be performed on the Customer’s property, that at all times the property is safe and that all facilities provided by the Customer for the purposes of enabling the service to be performed are also safe.

6d. The Customer will ensure that the Contractor will have unencumbered and unobstructed access to the area/s of the premises requiring the service.

6e. The Client agrees to allow Simple Shine to utilise any photos, descriptions, reviews, quotes, or videos of the property and/or the client in the context of marketing or advertising for the Company.


7a. As a business, last-minute cancellations affect us greatly. Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice will incur a $50 fee, or 10% of the service cost, whichever is greater. Payment of this fee is due within 24hrs of the cancellation. Further bookings will not be permitted until the cancellation fee is paid. If you wish to reschedule or cancel your booking, we require a minimum of 3 full days notice.


8a. Simple Shine has the right to charge additional fees, should payment of invoices be considerably late. Most Invoices are due within 24hrs unless otherwise agreed upon, any costs incurred recovering late payments will be payable by the client.

By booking a service, the Client agrees that all the specifications and conditions are satisfactory and hereby accepted. You authorise Simple Shine to do the work as specified on the proposal/estimate form and you accept all the terms and conditions.
